Can you imagine a world where everything you needed to help fight your child's cold lay right outside your door?
Imagine this; your child is sick on the couch with a chest cold. He’s tired, coughing, snuggling his favorite Spiderman stuffed animal. It breaks your heart because you know he’s clinging to that one comfortable thing because he is so very uncomfortable. Unhappy. Miserable.
You know what you have to do. You open your back door to a lush, green garden. You grab a few herbs and rush to your kitchen stove. A little herb, a little ginger, a little honey, and shortly after, you have your own natural cough syrup.
You give your child a spoonful, and the cough ceases. You put on some chicken soup, cuddle up with a good movie, and feel the relief pass over you both as he is finally breathing easy. Feeling good that you were able to help him naturally.
Snapping back to reality, what you’re really doing is running to the nearest drugstore and desperately filling your arms with anything and everything that could stop your child’s cough.
Purposely unmindful of what is in these chemical-laden concoctions, you just desperately need their cough to stop today so they can finally rest easy on the couch while you quickly make dinner for your family, finish the laundry, and possibly use the bathroom.
If you’re anything like me, you don’t have the time to make your own natural remedy (or have the know-how, to be honest), but you would rather go natural.
If only there were something herbal, natural, and still convenient and easy.
You worry about the ingredients that go in their shampoo, lotion, food, and supplements.
Regardless of your place on the spectrum of ingredient paranoia, you’ve thought about it.
You’ve probably heard about how toxins and chemicals are used in our kids’ clothes and food for the sake of making them “affordable.” Each harmful ingredient causes havoc on their immune system, fertility, development, and allergies, to name a few. And these are just the chemicals we know about.
Did you know that manufacturers are only required to disclose 66 out of the roughly 80,000 chemicals on the market?
It’s scary.
Each ingredient causes unknowable harm we may need to deal with in the future.
What if I told you there’s a better way? A proactive way to help your kids grow healthier and safer?
Meet Karolina Kurkova. You may recognize her most as one of the most successful supermodels of this generation. From gracing the covers of Vogue at just 16 years old to walking for top fashion houses like Chanel, Prada, and Dior, Kurkova has been in the public eye for over 20 years.
Despite her fast-paced fashion career, Kurkova came from a small town in the Czech Republic.
Weekends with her grandparents ranged from making homemade jam and pickles to homemade herbal cough syrup. Using ingredients from the land, making food from scratch, and creating natural herbal remedies, a holistic approach to life was normal for Kurkova.
At 19 years old, she began experimenting with holistic wellness herself, combining the natural techniques of her Grandmother with her own modern approaches to help her stay healthy and glowing as she modeled around the world.
Inspired by her parents to continuously learn and grow, Kurkova transformed her passion and belief in holistic well-being into an unstoppable children’s wellness company,
Gryph & IvyRose, with her two partners, Rachel Finger and Orion Nevel.
Stocked at over 150 stores nationwide,
Gryph & IvyRose is focused on creating innovative, natural products for children (and now adults) by combining traditional Chinese medicine with proven holistic approaches.
As the mother of two says, “It’s very simple: what you put in is what you’re gonna get out. It’s like the car—I always say, you know, you put bad gas and oil into the car, the car’s not going to perform well. The body is the same way.”
And don’t we want our kids to be able to feel their best?
The Start of Something Special
Both Kurkova’s partners in
Gryph & IvyRose have holistic backgrounds as well.
Orion is an herbalist she saw with her family. He worked alongside his father, who practices acupuncture and is an expert in Chinese medicine.
While Rachel embraced alternative holistic healing when her premature twin daughters struggled with their health in their first year of life.
Desperate to get away from potent drugs provided to her by numerous physicians, drugs that didn’t seem to be helping much anyway, she turned to Orion for help.
After just a week of seeing Orion, her daughters were finally able to do simple but elusive routines like sleep and go to the bathroom. Profoundly in awe of the drastic and quick improvement by these natural approaches, Rachel expressed how they should “create products that are modern and approachable for all modern parents...and their children.”
That is where
Gryph & IvyRose was born.
Wholesome well-being from the inside out.
From bath and body products to probiotics,
Gryph & IvyRose creates natural, holistic products for both kids and adults, optimizing health today to maintain health in the future.
Is Gryph & IvyRose Worth The Hype?
Gryph & IvyRose was developed by parents who saw first-hand the amazing benefits of herbal applications.
The herbs they used are not new and foreign, but rather have been used for thousands of years to prevent, treat, and cure.
Gryph & IvyRose adds their own twist to these concoctions to ensure they meet the growing demands of modern children.
For Kurkova, a holistic approach to health was a no-brainer. Growing up, she knew the importance of quality, clean ingredients and integrated those into her own kids’ wellness routines.
Yes, western medicinal approaches are essential.
However, it’s also important to start healthy rituals in our kids early on. It’s important to give them the tools and the knowledge to enjoy a lifetime of well-being.
Their bath and body products help support the skin’s natural biome.
The probiotics help to support a healthy gut biome.
And the elixirs help with everything from sleep to mood.
Gryph & IvyRose Makes Holistic Approachable
As trends steer more and more towards natural approaches, parents everywhere still are left unimpressed by the level of performance of these “natural” products. We’re often left sacrificing effectiveness for just “good enough” performance in the name of health.
This is why I’m not surprised when such an effective, approachable brand like
Gryph & IvyRose has blown up the way they have. Not only are their products effective but they are also vegan, USDA organic, natural, and pediatrician approved. Win-win.
Since my initial introduction to
Gryph & IvyRose, it feels like I’ve seen them everywhere.
Byrdie, W Magazine, Shape, Haute Living, Parents Magazine, Oprah Magazine, you name it.
They’ve been selling out several times, and it’s been tough to keep their products on the shelves.
Are Their Products Worth The Hype?
After learning about Kurkova’s background and the mission behind
Gryph & IvyRose I knew I had to give it a try.
The package includes Adult and Kids Chocolate Probiotics,
That’s A Wrap Body Wash, and their
Daily Embrace Shampoo & Conditioner.
The package arrived in a few days and I decided to try them out that weekend!
First up, the probiotics. My son loved this “chocolatey treat,” especially in the morning! He loved the subtle sweet chocolate flavor and even started asking for “his hearts” every morning.
I loved how after a few weeks, he seemed to have more of a bounce in his step, his mood had improved, and he even mentioned how “his tummy finally felt better” after weeks and weeks of him barely being able to sleep due to an upset stomach.
As a mom, these chocolate probiotics are a total win.
Next up, bath products.
After an unusually chaotic, tantrum-filled day, I decided we could all use a little chill time.
I ran him a bath and hoped for the best. You really never know what you’re going to get when it comes to bathtime with him. Soon the tsunami-sized waves started flooding water over the tub, and the bath toys were strewn everywhere.
I prepared myself for another insane aqua experience, shielding what I could of myself with my largest blue towel.
I took out the
That’s A Wrap Body Wash. As soon as I put it on him, he seemed to settle. I’m not sure if it was the subtle scent of wild chrysanthemum or the gentle lather on his skin.
After the
Daily Embrace Shampoo & Conditioner. , he was tame. He was playing with his pouring cups, seemingly calm and content.
I didn’t want to jinx it, so I gave him five more minutes then got him out.
Cuddled up in his warm towel with a cup of milk, he was peaceful, while I was shocked.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get more magical, he slept like a baby that night.
After a few weeks, his eczema had cleared up and he no longer pulled and scratched at his clothes.
I thought it must have been a flook or some kind of magic. But then I remembered, it’s not crazy. The herbs and approaches used to make each of these products have been meticulously curated and created over thousands of years to help kids and adults just like my son.
Gryph & IvyRose just made it more available.
Final Thoughts
Gryph & IvyRose is the real deal. I’m so happy to finally find a company that I can trust and feel good about. Not only are they natural, but they are also effective. Rarely a combination I’ve found when experimenting with natural products.
My kid is happy and comfortable, which has been my only real 2020 goal.
As much as I’d love to be the mom who rushes to her garden, picks the perfect herbs, and handmakes each concoction, meal, or supplement, I just don’t have the time.
Luckily, I do have
Gryph & IvyRose.
