Q & A with our Herb Master

1. What is your role at Gryph & IvyRose?
I act as a human Swiss Army Knife, doing a little bit of everything, with a heavy focus on product and herbal innovation. I have a deep passion for what makes things great and unique and I am able to channel that passion into the Gryph & IvyRose product range. It is a dream come true! Spending the last 20 years owning and operating an herb shop it feels great to be able to take that experience and share it with a larger group of people.
2. Do you have any children?
I have two wonderful children who are the light of my life. My daughter Persephone who is six years old is a unique creative soul who always astounds me with what artistic endeavors she gets into. My son Gryphon who is 4, is a ball of energy that loves to laugh. He is always coming up with fun little catch phrases that just stick with you. I am blessed!
3. What is your beauty/wellness routine?
For me it is all about being consistent with my herbs, probiotics, and other supplements.  Beauty really starts from within and if you're not healthy internally then it will show.  I am also a big proponent of a healthy diet. As a dad it is difficult to make time for exercise but the little that I get I think is an important part of looking and feeling my best.
4. What is your go-to healthy meal?
I love kimchi fried rice. It has everything you could ask for in a meal,  it has grains, vegetables, mushrooms,  protein (egg),  and fermented food (probiotics).  It is important to not burn the oil and to add the kimchi after cooking so that you don't kill the probiotics, but otherwise it is a perfect dinner.
5. What is your favorite herb and what are the benefits?
There are too many herbs to pick one, but lately I have been enjoying Astragalus a lot. Astragalus is a great immune modulator that is also classified as an adaptogenic herb that helps the body respond to stress. Always important to use an organic source. P.S. it is in our Forceshield herbal elixir.
