As a mother of two young boys I know it can be a challenge trying to figure out what to make for breakfast. Especially during the school year when you are trying to get yourself and your kids out the door in a timely manner. It's super important to include breakfast in my family's routine so that we all stay energized and fueled throughout our busy lifestyle. That’s why I like to find recipes that save time, taste good and have some sort of added boost to keep my family balanced and healthy! One of my favorite on -the- go breakfasts is Chia Pudding. It is simple, customizable and can be made the night before, which makes it ready to grab on your way out the door. When we have spare time to spend in the kitchen I even find my boys love to decorated it with me.
RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
Fresh or Frozen Strawberries
Agave
Chia Seeds
Coconut Flakes
Bananas
Cacao Powder
Raspberries
Blueberries
Dried Pomegranate Seeds
Gryph & IvyRose’s Chocolate Hearts
(1) LAYER ONE :
1 Cup of Fresh or Frozen Strawberries
1 Cup of Oat Milk
1 Tbs if Agave
Add to blender and blend until completely mixed together. Pour the mixture into a sealable container. I like to use a Mason Jar so that you can see the layers!
(2) LAYER TWO:
3 Tbs of Coconut Flakes
Place the Coconut Flakes on top of the mixture
(3) LAYER THREE:
1 Banana
1/2 Cup of Oat Milk
1.5- 2 Tbs of Cacao Powder
Add to blender and blend until completely mixed together. Pour the mixture into the same jar and on top of the coconut flakes. Seal container and put in the refrigerator to set overnight.
The next morning you can eat it as is, or top with some of your favorite ingredients. I like to use Raspberries, Blueberries, dried pomegranate seeds and my favorite Gryph & IvyRose Chocolate Probiotic Hearts.
My boys love these chocolate hearts and are constantly asking me for more! They are a daily probiotic that are packed with billions of probiotics and pre-biotics. They support healthy bacteria and build strong immunity levels in the gut. Even mommy loves them!
